Self-cleaning wood-pellet boiler 24-33-44-55 KW

New generation of TOBY represents one of the most sophisticated solutions for automatic combustion of wood pellets. It is completely adapted to burn wood pellet as a primary fuel, achieving maximum efficiency level up to 94% and a very low exit temperature for flue gases (below 160 C). Emission levels of this boiler fulfill the most rigorous norms of European countries (A++ energy class)

2018 innovations include:

  • Completely new burner design (registered at EUIPO) with primary and secondary air-flow to ensure best combustion results and highest efficiency
  1. Self-cleaning brazier to automatically remove the ash residues from the burner pot
  2. Automatic cleaning of the boiler tubulators (heat exchangers)

Automatic operation.

  • Ignition, start-up and turning-off are fully automatized.
  • Combustion control is optimized using algorithms such as ‘modulation’ which automatically decreases pellet dose as the difference between desired and reached temperature is decreasing.
  • Boiler is easily connected to a (wireless) room thermostate.
  • With purchase of additional wi-fi router it is possible to turn on-off boiler via mobile app (android, ios).

Production quality. 

  • As required by the European norm EN 303-5 boiler chamber is made of 5mm thick steel plates (all surfaces in touch with fire).

Safety features. 

  • Pellets are fed to boiler via internal transporter screw inside the storage tank. From there pellets are fed over to heating chamber where they fall free to the designated combustion area (the ’actual’ embedded burner of the boiler). Storage and combustion area are physically divided.
  • There is a safety thermostat installed to prevent back-fire as well as the overheating thermostat.

TOBY represents one of the most sophisticated solutions for automatic combustion of wood pellets to be found on the market.

It is completely adapted to burn wood pellet as a primary fuel, achieving maximum efficiency level up to 94% and a very low exit temperature for flue gases (below 160 °C). Emission levels of this boiler fulfill the most rigorous norms of European countries.

TOBY 30 is officially tested as a Class 5 boiler according to EN 303-5 at KiWa Institute in Treviso Italy and is eligible for subventions and grants available in most EU countries.

Ignition, start-up and turning-off are fully automatized. Combustion control is optimized using algorithms such as ‘modulation’ which automatically decreases pellet dose as the difference between desired and reached temperature is decreasing.

With purchase of additional boiler router, regulation of this boiler can be connected with internet: boiler can be turned on/off directly from mobile phone through application (android and ios supported so far).

Working principle of this boiler is based on the “sub-pressure” of the heating chamber. The chamber is completely air-proof so that air flow in the boiler is fully controlled by the exhausting fan mounted on the back. Boiler regulation completely controls the quantity of the air inside the heating chamber: optimum combustion comes as a result.

Boiler chamber is made by welding 5mm thick steel plates (all surfaces in touch with fire). Other parts are made of 4mm steel.

The efficiency of this boiler is much higher than that of the conventional boilers with natural air flow.

Pellets are fed to boiler via internal transporter screw inside the storage tank. From there pellets are fed over to heating chamber where they fall free to the designated melting area (the ‘actual’ embedded burner of the boiler). Storage and melting area are physically divided. There is a safety thermostat to prevent back-fire. There is also a
pressure sensor inside the heating chamber – when the boiler door is open, this sensor will react and stop the feeding process.

There is also an anti-explosion safety door on the side of the heating chamber.

Maintenance and cleaning are reduced to a minimum compared to all solid fuel boilers – only once a week, if not less than that, with a premium quality pellet and proper use. Please note the handle on the front side of the boiler. This is designated for occasional cleaning of the heat exchanger of the boiler (forcing the ash to fall down to te bottom of the boiler).

Compact size self-cleaning wood pellet boiler 14-19-23-32-42-52 KW

TOBY B represents the “compact” version of our flagship TOBY model and it is available in 6 different sizes: 14 – 19 – 23 – 32 – 42 – 52.

Unlike residential space heater with central heating (“H” model), the “B” model is insulated and therefore aimed for boiler rooms.

The new self-cleaning model has several construction advantages to offer compared to the older model (still available)

  • Brand new burner design (registered at EUIPO) with primary and secondary air-flow to ensure best combustion results and highest efficiency
  • Self-cleaning brazier to automatically remove the ash residues from the burner pot
  • Turbulators of the boilers are still operated manually (contrary to the flagship TOBY model (automatic operation).

National Park Stara Planina got a new Mountain Hut – Termomont takes part!

The brand-new mountain hut is situated in the village of Dojkinci, at the very entrance to the nature reserve of Stara Planina in South-Easth Serbia.

It was built at the place of an old military post, as a part of a cross-border-cooperation project of Serbia and Bulgaria with funds received from European Union.

It is the most modern facility of its kind in Serbia, and its position makes it ideal base for discovering nature attractions in the Pirot area of Stara Planina nature reserve. Attractive waterfall Tupavica is only 4km away from the hut. Mountain peaks Kopren and Tri Čuke can be reached from here too.

Central heating of the living area and dormitories is fulfilled thanks to a combined wood pellet boiler TKK3 90 with Biotermec pellet burner 100 KW. Two buffer tanks od 1000 lit are also used for maximum energy savings.

Solid fuel hot water boiler for central heating systems – specially constructed to burn whole straw bales.

Boiler is constructed according to the EN 303-5. Steel materials used apply to EN 10025, EN 10028-2, EN 10120 i EN 10088-2.

Due its increased volume the heating chamber can be fed with more fuel – apart of biomass, longer wood stocks (up to 1 m) or the coal with lower calory value can be used as well.

The whole boiler is insulated with appropriate mineral wool protection and its door with vermiculite.

Specific construction allows double pass (draught) of heating air – efficiency depends on the type of the fuel used, but lies above 75% in any case (up to 80% for soya straw).

In order to allow constant and most efficient working circle, use of an additional tank AT (heat accumulator) is strongly recommended.

Boiler is easy to clean with included cleaning kit. Boiler has a thermometer included as well.

Draught regulator is not included.

Three pass construction (horizontal passes) ensures quality combustion process. However, TKH is a solution between TKK3 max and CTK models: while TKK3 max has no tubulators at all, and CTK has both second and third pass in form of tubulators, TKH has only a third pass in tubulator form. Therefore efficiency of this boiler lies between TKK3 and CTK.

In order to allow constant and most efficient working circle, use of an additional tank AT (heat accumulator) is strongly recommended.

Boiler is easy to clean with included cleaning kit. Boiler has a thermometer included as well.

When heating middle power range with wood pellets, the aspect of pellet quality is extremely important: Pellets must be premium A1 quality, with uniform sizing, without dirt, earth, sand, and its caloric power must be higher than 18 MJ/kg.

The autonomy of the system is crucial – why invest into pellets technology, if manual feed is necessary on a daily base? Therefore certain investment into storage and automatic fuel transport system is recommended. Please take a closer look to our short promo movie at the bottom of this text to have an idea.

Automatic cleaning of the boiler is also an essential feature of our BIOTERM pellet system. Boiler chamber construction enables that ash and dust fall dawn to the bottom of the boiler. There is a cleaning screw transport system that takes the ash out of the boiler into the ash-tray box.

Cyclones: These are big (frequency regulated) fans at the flue exit of the boiler connected to the big cylinder that take all the heavy particles of ash and dirt that remain in the cylinder instead being blown out to the atmosphere.

Burner: Pellet burner of the system is made of special fireproof ceramics. It is resistant to the high temperatures. Cleaning of the burner combustion chamber is automatic.

Boiler: Sliding door allows easy access for maintenance operations. Boiler is welded and tested on water pressure of 8 bar. It maximum working pressure may not exceed 4 bar.
